Learning Outcomes

What You'll Learn
Build the catapult to learn about the concept of energy
You will learn how to make a catapult and explain the working principles of it with respect to the concept of energy. We also have a small competition of "shooting the farthest with your catapult", which allows them to try measuring the distances.

Make various robots and understand the robotics concepts
You will ideate on your own robots with servo and motors to make moving hands. Students will build their own robots and decorate it with their imagination.

Game with the basketball hoop
You are going to make the basketball hoop, which makes use of gears for its movement (rack and pinion), by making use of a servo. It is then made into the basketball hoop through assembling and decorating.

Make your creative robotic car, and show off!
You need to integrate the learning gained from previous lessons to improve the robotic cars. You will gain experience in the design thinking process from ideation to prototyping, You will also showcase your own car at a presentation.

What Parents Say
A pioneer in STEM education, their hands-on approach encourages kids to create their own projects by teaching both soft skills such as idea generation and presentation, and hard skills like coding and electric circuits. Kids get to learn in the real-life context.
Ms. Joey Law, TEDx Speaker
The program that my son attended is a perfect way to introduce our youth to the numerous possibilities of technology. My son was totally excited about the class and he came out of it with the confidence that he is able to create anything he imagines. This is truly powerful and inspiring.
Dr. Michael Sung, HKUST, School of Engineering
It was a mind blowing experience for my grandson. Monica is a great teacher! My grandson said that he wanted to be a Lego builder and an electronic engineer!
