Tinkercad is an easy-to-use 3D design and modeling tool that allows beginners to quickly create 3D models for 3D printing. With Tinkercad, you can design toys, prototypes, home decor items, jewelry, and many other objects in a simple drag-and-drop interface. Some key features of Tinkercad include the ability to import .stl files, group shapes to create a single object, adjust measurements precisely, and add text directly onto 3D models. Tinkercad uses constructive solid geometry to build 3D models out of basic shapes. It is entirely browser-based so there is nothing to download or install. Tinkercad is free and provides a great introduction to 3D design for all ages.
